Hy-Vee stores announces changes due to coronavirus

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - Hy-Vee stores are adapting their hours and operations due to the coronavirus. All stores will now open at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., every day of the week.

However, from 7 a.m. until 8 a.m., they'll offer a reserved hour for people over 60 years old, expecting mothers, and anyone with underlying health conditions.

The grocery store chain said in a news release that the time changes are also so that employees have additional time to clean the stores and spend time at home with their loved ones.

Dining areas at Hy-Vee's will be closed to the public, while food service areas will continue to operate. More information can be found on Hy-Vee's website, hy-vee.com.
